Who could babysit better than a stork if they are the ones to bring babies? In Birdies, developed by tabOO Entertainment and published by Alawar, you are a stork that looks after baby-birds in a kindergarten. So called "Diner Dash in the birds' world".

You are to keep the baby-birds happy by satisfying all their wishes.

The rules of the game are pretty easy and typical for the Diner-Dash-type games.

You start working in the kindergarten and your task is to take care of all the baby-birds wishes.

Mother-birds drop their babies off and pick them up after a while.

The wishes of baby-birds are pretty similar to the human babies: to eat, to drink, to sleep and to play.

Moreover, they go in the same order every time. So they are quite predictable, which isn't that fun, though quite helpful.

You make orders for meals and water, sing lullabies and bring toys to the baby-birds.

In order to bring meals and water to the baby-birds you need to have it prepared for you and that takes some time.

So, if you have any free time, make orders for meals or water. The number of orders is limited by the tables for treys and leaves with water.

The good thing is that you can accomplish  other tasks till hummingbirds are ready with your orders.

Apart from meals and drinks you are to sing a lullaby if a baby-bird wants to sleep or bring it a toy if it wants to play.  

Try to put baby-birds into the nests according to their gender to get more points.

When mother-birds bring their babies to the nursery you are to put them into the nests.

When you pick a baby-bird, the male/female sex sign appears - blue or pink.

After you had put the baby-bird to a nest, the sign of the respective sex appears near the nest. What's all this for?

It's all for giving you an opportunity to get bous points.

When you are to place new baby-birds to the nest, you get points for putting, say, a he-baby-bird to the nest with a blue sign near it.

You also get bonus points for chaining moves together, like bringing two treys with meals for two birds instead of serving each separately.  

You can spend your points on things in the shop to save your time during the working day.

What can you do with all the points you get? There is a shop that appears before you start each day.

You can buy there things like additional table for treys with meals or leaves with water, one more nest or a wheel that gives mor speed.

Every few levels provides you with different good stuff for your nursery, like flowers or stones to make your nursery more attractive.

The game is quite cute and interesting but it's definitely not the one to put you on your toes. Birdies will be a great choice for young players to try themselves in micromanagement games.
