18 Puzzle: Are You Up to Challenge?
By rough estimations, approximately 1.67 billion people worldwide were actively playing mobile games in 2023. That's why today, talking about gaming, we mostly mean video games, not tangible ones. However, today Absolutist is presenting its first tabletop game – 18 Puzzle.
This logic game takes a twist on the classic 15 Puzzle, meaning your objective is to place to arrange the numbers in the box in the numeric order. However, unlike the celebrated brainteaser, this sliding puzzle is played in a larger box with a unique set of tiles: 6 square and 6 double ("domino") tiles, 3 of which are placed horizontally, and 3 vertically. Moreover, the tiles are not permanently numbered, but instead have slots for number chips. In other words, 1 may appear as a separate square tile, as a horizontal 1-2 tile, or as a vertical 1-5 tile. This allows for literally limitless starting layouts with varying difficulty.
To support the pocket version, Absolutist has released a mobile game, available to download on the App Store, with an Android version coming soon to Google Play. It's a free game, without ads, and we mean it. The app comes with a library of challenges which, which will be regularly updated. Moreover, you can print a tangible version for personal use. And if you find yourself stuck, don't hesitate to check the walkthroughs of the trickiest 18 Puzzle challenges on our YouTube Channel or the official game website – 18puzzle.com.
