Facebook Web Games Shutdown

Facebook Gaming epoch is coming to an end. In 2025, Meta announced its plans to sunset Canvas games, encouraging developers to bring their titles to Instant Games available via Messenger. The news revealed the company's focus on the younger audience favoring hypercasual mobile games with quick game sessions. Meanwhile, many players who had originally embraced social games on Facebook and have literally invested years (and money) in their favourite farming simulators and Hidden Object adventure games, are going to lose all their progress. Why? Because the platform has strict limitation about the build size impossible to meet if a game features enhanced graphics.

Several Absolutist's games are also affected. If you have been playing Time Gap, Crime City Detective, Boxie, Twilight Town or WTF Detective, be sure to save your progress before September 1 using Facebook Login. If not yet, install the game you've been playing to your iOS or Android device from our official App Store and Google Play pages respectively. Complete the compulsory tutorial, open the Options screen and Login with Facebook to transfer your webgame progress to your device.

As for Bubblez: Magic Bubble Quest, its version is available on Instant Games.

Western: Golden Frontier is currently in process of being transferred to Instant Games. The shutdown of Facebook Web Games is scheduled on September 30.
