Unable to find a remedy for his disease, Count Saint Germain decides to resort to a legendary cure. The Secret of Life is known only to an Elder of a remote town, who agrees to share it with the Count if he completes a purifying rite on the Elder's daughter Meril in a notorious House on the Hill.
